Everything you need to join Fólkvangr and start your adventure

Download the Client
Fólkvangr runs on World of Warcraft version 1.12.1 (Vanilla). You will need this specific version — retail or later versions will not work.
- The client is approximately 2.4 GB
- If you already own the game you can use your retail 1.12.1 disc or a digital copy
- A full install with no patches required — the client already includes all 1.12.1 content

Set the Realmlist
Open your WoW installation folder, navigate to Data/enUS/ (or Data/enGB/ depending on your region), and open realmlist.wtf in Notepad.
Replace the contents with exactly:
set realmlist vanilla.splashgame.org
Save the file and do not add anything else. Make sure it is saved as plain text, not .wtf.txt.

Create an Account
Register for a free account on this portal. Your portal account and in-game account share the same username and password.
- Choose your faction (Horde or Alliance) during registration — this locks all characters on the account to that faction
- Usernames are case-insensitive and must be 3–16 characters
- Email is required for account recovery
