The Classic Journey
Vanilla WoW is widely regarded as having the best open-world leveling experience of any expansion. Zones have distinct identities, the world feels large and consequential, and reaching level 60 is an achievement in itself.
Splashgame Community runs two separate World of Warcraft private servers. Fólkvangr is the Vanilla WoW 1.12 realm. Einherjers is the Burning Crusade TBC 2.4.3 realm. Both are free to play, both share the same community — but they offer very different experiences.

The Burning Crusade expansion. Outland, flying mounts, Blood Elves, Draenei, Arena PvP, and level cap 70 with TBC raid progression.

Fólkvangr is the original World of Warcraft. No Outland, no flying, no arena. Just Azeroth as it was in patch 1.12 — long leveling journeys through Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, the 40-man raid progression from Molten Core to Naxxramas, and the fiercely competitive 14-rank PvP honor system where reaching Grand Marshal or High Warlord is a genuine server-wide achievement.
Vanilla WoW is widely regarded as having the best open-world leveling experience of any expansion. Zones have distinct identities, the world feels large and consequential, and reaching level 60 is an achievement in itself.
The 14-rank PvP system is one of vanilla’s defining features. Weekly standings pit every PvP player on the server against each other. Grand Marshal and High Warlord weapons remain some of the best gear in the game.
Vanilla’s addon ecosystem is mature. pfQuest, pfUI, and Vanilla Tweaks are included in the Fólkvangr client download, giving you a polished experience from the first login.

Einherjers is the Burning Crusade experience. The Dark Portal is open, Outland awaits, and Blood Elves and Draenei have joined the fray. TBC expanded the game significantly: a whole new continent, flying mounts, the arena PvP system, Jewelcrafting, and a raid tier that many players consider the high point of WoW raiding.
The Burning Crusade adds a full second continent with seven unique zones. Hellfire Peninsula, Nagrand, Netherstorm — TBC’s outdoor world is visually striking and packed with content from level 58 onward.
TBC introduced the Arena system — 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5 ranked combat. Arena rewards some of the best PvP gear in the game and is the competitive endgame for PvP-focused players on Einherjers.
At level 70 in Outland, you can learn to fly. Flying mounts transform exploration and open up terrain that cannot be reached on foot. A hallmark feature that many players miss when returning to vanilla.
You can create separate accounts on both realms and play both — they share the same Splashgame Community Discord so you can stay connected either way.
Both Fólkvangr and Einherjers are part of the Splashgame Community. The same Discord, the same friendly atmosphere, the same commitment to blizzlike rates and fair play. Whether you prefer vanilla Azeroth or the fires of Outland, you are welcome here.
